100% of the funds raised from Baby Steps: A Walk to Feed Hungry Babies support Local Infant Formula for Emergencies (L.I.F.E.) Houston, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, in its mission to provide emergency infant formula and information about infant nutrition. 

ELIGIBILITY:
To enter the raffle for the Cuisinart Compact Juice Extractor, you must:
1) Complete the online registration to attend the L.I.F.E. Houston Baby Steps walk (register at support.lifehouston.org/babysteps);
2) Be 18 years or older; and

3) Be present at the Baby Steps Walk on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the time of the drawing.

Only (1) individual may be identified as the purchaser (or buyer/owner) of a raffle ticket. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Void where prohibited. L.I.F.E. Houston Staff and their immediate families are not eligible to participate. Your purchase confirmation email will serve as your confirmation/receipt of purchase.

REGISTRATION:
When you register for the L.I.F.E. Houston 2017 Baby Steps Walk, you are automatically entered into the drawing for the Cuisinart Compact Juice Extractor.

All online registrations for L.I.F.E. Houston's Baby Steps must be received by 11:59 pm (CST) on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 to be eligible for the raffle. For online orders visit our registration page at support.lifehouston.org/babysteps. 

All phone registrations must be completed by 5:00 pm (CST) on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 to be eligible for the raffle. Please call us at 713.528.6044 during normal business hours, or leave us a message outside of business hours, to register for the Baby Steps walk over the phone.

Raffle tickets are not transferable. You must include your full name, phone number, and email address. It is the purchaser’s responsibility to provide a valid, usable email address to L.I.F.E. Houston and its agents, board, vendors, volunteers, and members. The organization and its agents assume no liability for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, illegible, incomplete, undelivered tickets or tickets without proper information received, which tickets shall be deemed invalid and shall be immediately disqualified. Current employees of L.I.F.E. Houston are not eligible to win. By entering the raffle, the ticket purchaser acknowledges that he or she is aware of and agrees with these raffle official rules. L.I.F.E. Houston reserves the right not to accept entries at their discretion.

DRAWING:
The drawing will be held on Saturday, May 20th, 2017, at the Baby Steps event.

RETURN AND CANCELLATION:
All registrations for Baby Steps can be cancelled. Any cancellation immediately disqualifies that participant from eligibility for the drawing.

SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION OF WINNER:
Winner will be selected in a random drawing conducted at the L.I.F.E. Houston Baby Steps: A Walk to Feed Hungry Babies on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the University of Houston in Houston, TX. All attempts to contact the raffle ticket purchaser will occur at that time and will use the full name provided by the registrant. YOU MUST BE PRESENT TO WIN. 

A second ticket will be drawn and serve as an alternate winner if the owner of the first ticket drawn is not at the event on May 20, 2017 and able to claim his/her prize within the time given. 

By entering, prize winners authorize L.I.F.E. Houston to publish their name and likeness on their website, social media outlets, in local news media, and in other promotional materials used for the raffle. If winner is not present, winner forfeits any claim over the item.

TAXES AND IRS RULES:
The raffle winner shall be responsible for any and all federal, state and local income or excise taxes, fees, assessments and like charges associated with the prize. The IRS has taken the position that amounts paid for chances to participate in raffles, lotteries or similar programs are not gifts and, therefore, the price of the ticket does not qualify as a deductible charitable contribution. Check with your qualified financial advisor for additional information.

WAIVER/LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY:
Ticket purchasers, by participating (and winner, by accepting) release L.I.F.E. Houston and its respective board, committee members, volunteers, partners, vendors, agents, representatives, sponsors, service agencies and independent contractors, and each of their respective directors, officers, partners, employees and agents, including advertising, public relations, direct marketing and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to participation in the promotion and possession or use of the prize awarded and also acknowledge that they did not receive any representations, warranty or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness. L.I.F.E. Houston reserves the right to modify or amend these rules without notice at any time, so please read this page regularly to ensure that you are updated as to any changes. All decisions of L.I.F.E. Houston are deemed final.
