What does my registration include? 

Everyone who registers gets entrance to the 5K Walk & Fun Run, a goody bag, and refreshments.

 

 

What about the t-shirt?

We're glad you asked! Everyone who raises $100 gets a special, one-of-a-kind Baby Steps 2017 t-shirt!

Where should I go?

We'll be at Lynn Eusan Park on the University of Houston campus.

 

Lynn Eusan Park is near the University of Houston HIlton & the Cullen Performance Hall, at the end of University Drive, The official address is 4800 Calhoun Rd, Houston 77004. The nearest freeway is Spur 5, off of I-45.

          If you are using Google Maps, you can enter “Lynn Eusan Park” or the address.

         

If you are using Apple Maps or an iPhone, please do NOT use the address. Instead, you can enter “Lynn Eusan Park” and you will find the site.

         

If you are using MapQuest, please use 4302 University Dr, Houston 77204.

 

 

What about parking?

Covered parking is available in the UH Welcome Center parking garage for a flat $5 fee.

What kind of 5K is Baby Steps?

This event is a 5K walk and fun run. The distance is marked at 5K (about 3.5 miles), with checkpoints at 1, 2, and 3 miles.

 

We welcome runners, walkers, strollers, and anyone in between. We do not have any type of timing system, so those who are preparing for races or want to track their time will need to plan on timing themselves.

 

We arrange it so that runners start first, then the walkers, then families with strollers & toddlers, so those who are timing themselves can do so and those who are not do not feel rushed.

 

 

What is the post-walk celebration?

This is one of the best parts! We have a bounce house, face painting, music, games, and fun for the whole family!!
