LIFE/Houston is excited to introduce Nicole Browning as our new Executive Director. Nicole Browning has more than 18 years of experience in non-profit social services. She assumed her duties with LIFE Houston on January 17, 2013. Prior to joining LIFE Houston, Ms. Browning has served in various leadership positions including: Executive Director of the Sickle Cell Association of the Texas Gulf Coast and President & CEO of the Lupus Foundation of the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. A native Houstonian, Ms. Browning is very knowledgeable about various nonprofit organizations within Houston striving to meet the unmet needs of the community.

Local Infant Formula for Emergencies (LIFE)/Houston is a local, non-profit agency whose mission is to provide families with infant formula through our "Food for Hungry Babies" program. Food for Hungry Babies has served over 100,000 families in the greater Houston area and we are the only agency solely dedicated to providing emergency formula to infants, birth to one year. We distribute 4,000-6,000 cans of formula to area infants on a yearly basis.
Food for Hungry Babies is low barrier--parents or caregivers need only photo identification of themselves and proof of the baby's birth. More important, thanks to the generosity of individuals, churches and corporations, families also receive other baby essentials that we have on hand.
