Local Infant Formula for Emergencies (LIFE)/Houston is a local, non-profit agency whose mission is to provide families with infant formula through our "Food for Hungry Babies" program. In 23 years, Food for Hungry Babies has served over 92,000 families in the greater Houston area as we are the only agency solely dedicated to providing emergency formula to infants, birth to one year.
Food for Hungry Babies is low barrier--parents or caregivers need only photo identification of themselves and proof of the baby's birth. More important, thanks to the generosity of individuals, churches and corporations, families also receive other baby essentials that we have on hand.

We are committed to protecting the privacy of all who visit our website. We do not collect or store sensitive, personal information nor do we share or sell any information to anyone for any purpose. Our site does however, contain links to other websites. LIFE/Houston is not responsible for the content or privacy policies on other websites.
Since the operations of LIFE/Houston are made possible by the generosity of others, we do maintain contact information on donors in our corporate office, used for mailing purposes only. Our donor information is not shared with any group, organization or entity under any circumstances. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy and ensure the correct use of this information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.
